"Okay okay. It's a pretty popular con, so a lot of hotels are full, and others are filling up fast. I've got one here that's got a room, and I can get it right now, but uh... I need a credit card to book it."

"Yeah. And I would have just called Dad and asked for my credit card number and if my credit card came in yet, but--well. We've got Sarah and our mutual friend from Arizona coming down too, so actually paying shouldn't be a big deal, but. My credit card has a limit of $500 and the hotel's cost is eight hundred."
"Eight hundred?"
"Yeah."
"How many nights?"
"Three nights. Five people."
"You have room for that many?"
"Oh, yeah. And if we don't--well. I plan to just... stuff sleeping bags in the car."
"Okay. Whatever's legal."
"Oh, I got it for five. I checked it, and the rate totally didn't change between booking for five people and booking for two."
"Oh wow."
"Yeah. I got the weekend rate. And--I read all the fine print, and if I need to, I can cancel the reservation at no charge all the way through August 7th."

"When are the dates?"
"The convention itself is the 8th through the 10th. I have our check-in date on the 7th."
"So you can cancel through the day you're going to check in?"
