On a MUCH happier note!

I posted links to this and this on the cosplay board of MechaCon's forums as an example of how you CAN get good props out of cardboard, tagboard and masking tape, painted with spray paint and detailed with Sharpie.

Juuuuuuust as I'm about to log off the computer entirely...

[04:24:43] VanDaShinobi: I'd like to see cosplay this year but since of the venue, I gotta watch the hotel.
[04:25:11] Volatile Kitsune: Ooh. Shame. The whole thing's getting video'd, though, right?
[04:25:45] VanDaShinobi: We're working on that. Every cosplay has been videoed, it's just the guy who did it was always a flake about getting us the footage.
[04:26:06] Volatile Kitsune: Ulch. I hate that.
[04:27:06] VanDaShinobi: Yeah, well this year it's gonna be a hell of a show with the auditorium and all. I'm gonna have to see if I can at least catch the concert after cosplay.
[04:27:52] Volatile Kitsune: Is the concert happening at the college, too? I'm doing such a runaround trying to find and process all the information, heh.
[04:28:40] VanDaShinobi: Yeah. Cosplay at the hall followed by the concert at the same hall. Since we got it for the whole day, might as well make the best use of it.
[04:28:52] VanDaShinobi: Those are the only two events outside of the Hilton.
[04:29:44] Volatile Kitsune: Awesome. Man. Is it August yet?
[04:33:21] VanDaShinobi: Keep ya shirt on. Bout 50 days or so.
[04:33:42] VanDaShinobi: Actually, more like 40 something.
[04:35:04] Volatile Kitsune: Hah, good thing. I have cosplays to finish. =P
[04:35:35] Volatile Kitsune: On that note, though, I ought to be heading to bed. Got work tomorrow so that I can pay for conventions!
